Biography

Twin Cities Dermatopathology, a Sonic Healthcare Dermatopathology Practice, is privileged to include Behzad Salari, M.D., as a member of its dynamic medical staff. Dr. Salari has an extensive academic and medical professional background.

Dr. Salari earned his medical degree from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Tabriz, Iran. He then went on to complete an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Subsequently, he went on to serve a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Salari has participated in various research projects and clinical work, in addition to being elected chief student for anatomy lab classes and receiving the PancreasFest CAPER scholarship for outstanding achievement.

Dr. Salari is currently a dermatopathologist at Twin Cities Dermatopathology in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Over the years, Dr. Salari has contributed to an array of medical editorial work. He holds medical research publications and articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, chapters, and textbooks, including the prestigious Washington Manual of Surgical Pathology. He has given oral and poster presentations at professional medical meetings and conferences and is an active ad-hoc reviewer and editor for the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and the Annals of Internal Medicine, in addition to his work with the Journal of Cardiovascular Disease Research. He is an active member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the International Society of Dermatopathology, the College of American Pathologists, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Salari holds full medical licensure, is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, and is board eligible in dermatopathology.
